A competitive meet was expected since the Westfield High School girls swim team rested its two best swimmers, Jane Kavanagh and Brooke McAndrew, in a meet with the Cranford Cougars in Cranford on January 9. As things turned out, the meet was more competitive than expected and the Cougars came up with a 90-80 victory.
