Celebrating a Meaningful Partnership: The Westfield Foundation and Jewish Family Service of Central NJ

Since 2000, The Westfield Foundation has had the privilege of partnering with Jewish Family Service (JFS) of Central New Jersey. Over the past two decades, this collaboration has been a cornerstone of our mission to enhance lives and strengthen our community. Through nearly $300,000 in funding, we have proudly supported a range of impactful programs — from Home Health Aide Services to Alzheimer’s and dementia support initiatives, including the beloved Coffee House recreational program at Temple Sholom in Scotch Plains.

Our partnership reached a meaningful milestone this past December when The Westfield Foundation was honored with The Community Partner Award from JFS. This recognition holds deep significance for us as it celebrates not only the meaningful work our organizations do but also the profound power of partnership. At the heart of both JFS and The Westfield Foundation is a shared commitment to serving others with care, compassion, and purpose.

Most recently, in November, we were proud to help fund the purchase of a new multi-passenger vehicle for JFS. This van represents far more than transportation; it is a lifeline for JFS clients, enabling them to access essential services, connect with others, and maintain their independence. This initiative exemplifies how community-focused efforts can make a tangible difference in the lives of individuals and families.

Our areas of focus include but are not limited to capital projects and improvements within Education, The Arts, Health and Human Services, Historic Preservation, Civic Projects, and Community development.

Our grants provide innovative and strategic responses to recognized community needs.

We aim to partner with agencies and institutions to strengthen their services to the local community.
