After a dismal free throw performance in a loss to the New Providence Pioneers, the 7-1 Westfield High School girls basketball team got back on track from the line and handed the Roselle Catholic Lions their first defeat with a 53-50 singeing in Westfield on January 6. Three days later in Cranford, the Blue Devils slid back into the tank a bit from the free throw line but managed to shed a 2118, halftime deficit to pull out a 45-41 victory.
