The Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School girls basketball team faces a new era in two ways this season. First, the Raiders graduated an outstanding four-year starter in Amanda Baylock and second, they have a new head coach in Susan Murray. And with only two returning starters, the Raiders were still searching for a proper fit in their season-opening, 52-31 loss to the hosting Plainfield Cardinals on December 19. After losing to the very strong New Providence Pioneers, 4619, two days later, the Raiders found a formula to level Ridge, 47-28, on December 23.
