TheWestfieldHighSchoolgirlsswim team warmed up with a 125-22 win over the Union Farmers in their season opener on December 9. This meet allowed the Blue Devil girls the opportunity to exercise their talented depth.

The Blue Devils took 1-2 in the 200medley relay withAva Contract, Hailey Walker, Brooke McAndrew and Charlotte Lehman touching first with a time of 2:03.29, followed by Hannah Doll, Diana Orzersky, Allison Dubeck and Eleanor Lucas at 2:13.64. Liz Williamson won the 200-freestyle at 2:16.13, followed by Sophia Fussman at 2:19.63 and Julia Nissim at 2:31.34.

McAndrew won the 200-Individual Medley in 2:22.93, followed by Walker at 2:35.15 and Zayla Wallen at 2:50.59. Jane Kavanagh won the 50-free in 28.2, followed by Megan Dermody at 31.37. Emily Kapuscinski took top honors in the 100-butterfly at 1:08.57, followed by Doll at 1:11.06 and A. Dubeck at 1:13.25. Keri Kapuscinski won the 100-free at 1:02.21, followed by Avery Levitt at 1:03.1 and Lehman at 1:03.3. The 500-free was won by Cecilia Wiggins at 5:59.34, followed by Lucas at 6:00.18 and Emily Dubeck at 6:18.76.

In the 200-free relay, Sarah Reed, Walker, Keri Kapuscinski and Contract took first at 1:56.27, followed by Levitt, Liz Williamson, Doll and Meena Oberoi at 2:00.32. Emily Williamson took first in the 100-backstroke at 1:10.03, followed by Sofia Droskoski at 1:12.43 and Caroline Sahm at 1:26.53. Reed at 1:20.01, Caitlyn Tobani at 1:21.43 and Esha Shrestha at 1:24.59 finished 1-2-3.
