At the November 18 Borough of Garwood Council meeting the topic of applying for a 2025 Local Recreation Improvement Grant (LRIG) was brought up by Councilwoman Nolde. While I agree 100 percent in applying for this grant the discussion by Mayor Blumenstock and Council President Kearney regarding this specific grant, included that they never heard of this grant, that maybe it’s a new grant is not factual, so the record needs to be set straight.
