Holiday Concert, Friday, December 13, 7: 30 p.m. The Westfield Community Concert Band presents its 35th Annual Holiday Concert at Edison Intermediate School Auditorium, 800 Rahway Avenue, Westfield. Free admission to the public.

5th Grade Dance Party, Friday, December 13, Holiday Hoopla at the Westfield Area YMCA. Get ready to celebrate the holidays with a night of fun! 5th Grade Dances at the Y are back, and we’re kicking off the season with a live DJ, plenty of dancing, and delicious treats for purchase. The event takes place on Friday, December 13, from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m., at the Robert & Virginia Bauer Family Branch Gym. This dance is open to all 5th graders in the community. Admission is $10. Register online or at the Main Y Welcome Center to secure your spot!

Youth Chorus, Saturday, December 14, 7:30 p.m. at The Presbyterian Church in Westfield. Kick off the holiday season with Imperial Brass, a British-style brass band, and special guest Sola Voce, an ensemble of the New Jersey Youth Chorus, for an evening of brass and choral holiday music. The program features brass band holiday repertoire and arranged renditions of seasonal favorites such as Winter Wonderland, White Christmas, All I Want for Christmas is You, and Leroy Anderson’s classic A Christmas Festival. Joanna Scarangello, Sola Voce’s director, will join Imperial Brass to perform Deck the Halls and lead the audience in a singalong of Silent Night.

Santa swim. Sunday, December 15. Dive into the holiday spirit with a reserved 30-minute session of splashing around in the festive North Pole Pool! Santa will keep an eye on the fun from his throne, ready to meet swimmers after their session ends. Three sessions will be offered at the Main Y Rooke Pool: 2:002:30pm, 2:30-3:00pm, and 3:003:30pm. The cost is $25 per child, benefiting the Strong Kids+ Annual Support Campaign. Parent/ guardian must accompany children under age 6 or those unable to swim independently. Register online or at the Westfield Area YMCA Main Facility.

Chanukah Lego Night, Temple Sholom’s annual Chanukah Lego Night showcases one of the largest collections of Legos in Scotch Plains. Participants are welcome to build as many Lego creations as their hearts desire, while reveling in dreidel games, Chanukah music, lighting the menorah, and getting to know the Sholom family. The event, Thursday, December 19 from 6 to 7:30 p.m., is free and open to all. Space is limited.
