Raiders Arise in Second Half to Topple GL Highlanders in UCT Girls Soccer, 2-0
Plenty of opportunities yielded nothing in the first half for the fourthseeded Scotch Plains-Fanwood girls soccer team against the fifth-seeded Governor Livingston Highlanders during the quarterfinal round of the Union County Tournament at Scotch Plains on October 17. But the 6-4-3 Raiders’ persistence paid off in the second half as they strutted off the field with a 2-0 victory over the 7-7 Highlanders.
