I am writing to raise concerns about the proposed New Jersey bills A360 and S765, which seek to severely restrict bird feeding for much of the year. Under these bills, it would become illegal to feed birds from April through November unless feeders are hung ten feet above the ground and removed nightly. While the intent is to reduce bear interactions, I believe this approach unfairly penalizes bird lovers without adequately addressing the root problem.
