Investing in Our Community’s Well-Being: Prioritizing Mental Health and Safety

As a mental health therapist, I understand that youth safety goes beyond the physical—it’s also psychological. Today, the second leading cause of death among children and youth is due to mental health-related issues. This represents a crisis that Garwood can no longer afford to ignore. My professional experience gives me a unique perspective on how to implement bold, effective solutions to help our youth navigate these challenges. That’s why I am fully committed to expanding mental health resources and support within our schools and community. We need stronger partnerships with local mental health professionals, more training for teachers and parents, and the development of programs that equip our youth and families with the tools they need to thrive.
