Blue Devils Stop UC Vikings; Squeeze by W. Orange in OT
The 7-1 Westfield High School girls soccer team scored two first-half goals to shutout the 4-4-1 Union Catholic Vikings, 2-0, on September 30. However, without a key player in the lineup on October 5, the No. 17 Blue Devils had to battle back from a 2-0 deficit early in the first half to squeeze by No. 20 West Orange, 3-2, in overtime at Gary Kehler Stadium in Westfield.
