After a three-game slide, the Westfield High School girls volleyball team recovered to slip past the Hunterdon Central Red Devils on September 28 then to easily defeat the Rahway Indians on September 30 and the Summit Hilltoppers on October 1. Previously, the Blue Devils fell in two games, 25-21, 25-18, to the Kent Place Dragons on September 26 then two days later, they wound up on the short side to North Hunterdon, 25-21, 25-11, and to 13-0 Williamstown, 25-10, 25-14, at the North Hunterdon Invitational.
