SPF Raiders’ OT Goal Stuns Field Hockey Blue Devils, 2-1
Playing some of the toughest teams in the state seemed to pay off well for the Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School field hockey team in its showdown with the Westfield Blue Devils at Gary Kehler Stadium in Westfield on September 27. The Raiders employed an immediate aggressive behavior throughout the game and finally snapped a 1-1 tie when cocaptain Meredith Reilly scored the game winner in overtime for a 2-1 victory.
