Blue Devils’ Huge 1st Quarter Jars Union in Field Hockey, 9-0
Two lopsided wins separated by a stinging overtime loss and a hardearned victory, within a span of six days has elevated the Westfield High School field hockey team’s record to 5-2 after rumbling over the Union Farmers, 9-0, at Gary Kehler Stadium in Westfield on September 18. The victory over the Farmers also upped the Blue Devils’ record in the Essex/ Union Blue Division to 5-0. On September 21, the Blue Devils continued their upward move with a 3-2 win over Glen Ridge.
