Raiders’ Surge Falls Short To Monroe in Opener, 31-30
Stopping the passing accuracy of quarterback Brandon Macaluso seemed nearly impossible for the Scotch Plains-Fanwood Raiders’ defense in the first half when they hosted the Monroe Falcons in the season opener at Scotch Plains onAugust 29. But the Raiders’ defense quickly found the right formula in the second half and mounted an impressive comeback only to fall short, 31-30.
