Open Rehearsals, Join Choral Art Society of NJ for Open Rehearsals on Tuesdays, September 10 and September 17 Experienced choral singers are invited to attend open rehearsals for Choral Arts Society of NJ’s first concert of the 2024/ 2025 season. Rehearsals begin at 7:30 p.m. in the Parish Hall Chapel of The Presbyterian Church in Westfield, 140 Mountain Avenue,Westfield. The January 26, 2025 concert, ‘Martines & Mozart’, will welcome Dr. John Wilson as Choral Art Society’s new Music Director. It will feature W. A. Mozart’s Missa Brevis in Bb K.275, his Ave Verum Corpus K.618, and the Dixit Dominus by Marianna Martines, a contemporary of Mozart. Open rehearsals are an opportunity to learn more about this welcoming group, meet current members, and consider joining. If you can sing, you should sing with us! No formal auditions are conducted. Fanwood Performance Series presents a double bill of singer-songwriters blending country, folk and contemporary styles on Saturday, September 14 at 7 p.m. in the Kuran Cultural Arts Center (aka Carriage House), 135 Watson Road, Fanwood.
