2024 Perry Award Nominations for Area Playhouses Announced

AREA – While the world has been watching competitions from the 2024 Paris Olympics, local theaters right here in New Jersey are basking in their own limelight of being recognized for their efforts by the New Jersey Association of Community Theaters (NJACT). No, they are not gold medals, but the awards for excellence in Community Theater are called Perry Awards. The nominees for these prestigious awards were recently announced and include 12 nods for the Cranford Dramatic Club (CDC) and three to Westfield Community Players (WCP). The collective and individual winners will be announced on Sunday, September 22 at a gala at The Strand Center in Lakewood. Tickets are on sale now through the njact.org website.
