MOUNTAINSIDE — The Mountainside Borough Council discussed its plans to purchase field lighting for Deerfield Park’s tennis and pickleball courts during a worksession meeting on July 2. The governing body has received a $65,000 state grant and also will utilize $11,000 to $21,000 that the borough has set aside. Out of pocket, Mountainside would have to pay around $25,000, including the money that has been set aside. Currently, officials are looking into whether there is a more affordable payment amount that can be made.
