The Tuttle Parkway Bridge represented the application of an important technology and was significant as one of the few surviving truss bridges associated with the former Central Railroad of New Jersey's main line. The bridge was a typical example of a steel Warren through truss highway bridge with verticals and was notable for its use as a railroad crossing.
