St. Vincent 10, St. Sebastian 7 The game at Brookside Park was tied at seven going into the bottom of the sixth when St. Vincent’s Jarrod Pence homered, scoring three runs en route to a 10-7 victory over St. Sebastian. Both teams’ bats were alive as Vincent banged out 16 hits, and Sebastian 15. Sweet Lou Balestriere, James Barba, Eric Carrero, Pence, Captain Keith Karyczak, and Scott Shulman each had two hits for St. Vincent. St. Sebastian recorded 15 hits. Kevin Caggiano, Geoff Dickstein, Barnard Penoro, Welles Pikaart and Will Hillyer each with two hits.

St. Ignatius 13, St. Wolfgang 6 St. Ignatius scored four runs in the top of the first, and never trailed in the contest defeating St. Wolfgang. Hitting starts for the winners, included Mike Makrowycz, Steve Pirella, Josh Baik each posting three hits. Robbie Stratton chipped in with two hits and 3 RBI. For the Wolfies, Chris Millar, Mike McKenna, Joe Oporto and Liam Nobile collected two hits apiece. McKenna also slugged a home run and triple.

St. Anthony 10, St. Sebastian 7 Captain Bobby Camisa’s squad scored in each of the first three innings on the way to a 10-7 victory over St. Sebastian at Jerseyland Park. St. Anthony slugged 15 hits. Clean up hitter Brian Jackson drove in three runs while collecting 2 hits and leadoff hitter Ara Movsesian had 3 hits, along with 2 RBI. Sebastian recorded 14 hits with starting pitcher Eric “Nails” Hastrup going 4-for-4 and 2 runs scored.

St. Francis 15, St. Justin 5 (game 1); St. Justin 6, St. Frances 4 (game 2) On a beautiful Friday night, St. Francis and St. Justin squared off in doubleheader at Brookside Park. St. Francis took the first game, 15-5, with shortstop Steve Sciaraffo going 3-for-3 with 2 RBI and Bill “Pirate” Scheiner knocking in 3. Andrew Smyth led St. Justin with three hits.

In the nightcap, St. Francis jumped out to an early 4-0 lead, but St. Justin scored six unanswered runs en route to a 6-4 victory. St. Justin was paced by Andrew Smyth and Mike Cunningham each going 3-for-3 with Cunningham knocking in 2 runs. Nat Mangiris also drove in 2. For Francis, Gus Alvarez, Mike Arabitg and Jerry Isolda each had 2 hits.
