St. Bart’s Oldtimers Men’s Softball League Standings:

LEAGUE STANDINGS: TEAM W L T St. Anthony 8 2 St. Vincent 5 4 St. Ignatius 5 4 St. Francis 4 4 St. Sebastian 5 5 St. Justin 4 5 St. George 4 6 St. Wolfgang 2 7

St. Ignatius 10, St. Francis 9 A 9-9 tie in the seventh inning was broken by Lou Fraguas’ game-winning walk-off double. Fan-favorite Tony Perconte went 4-4 for Ignatius. Jim Killeen & Rob Stratton each drove in 3 runs for the winners. Ross Alpert went 4-4 for Francis with 3 RBI. Steve Sciaraffo, Nick Doninguez & Bill (Pirate) Scheiner each drove in 2 runs for Francis St. Sebastian 11, St. George 8 Will Hillyer led Sebastian with 3 hits and 3 RBI. Kevin Harris went 44 for St. George, including a HR and 3B. Ryan Savador (3 hits) homered for St George. It was a close game until the 6th when Seabastian scored 5 runs keyed by Ron Skwirut’s HR and Joe Ursino’s 3B.

St. Anthony 14, St. Wolfgang 4 Chris (Rock) Sarna went 3-4 for the winning St. Anthony squad. St. Anthony scored 12 runs in the third with hits by Joanthan (Tiny) Villegas, Sarna, Rey Santiago, Brian Jackson, Ed DeFrancesco, Mike D’Amato, Rick Wustefled, Mike Kozlowski, Joe (last original St. Bart’s player still active) McEvoy and then Sarna again. St.Anthony southpaw Mike Kozloski pitched a gem with 3 strikeouts. Eric Gutierrez went 4-4 for Wolfgang and Tom Litterio also had 3 hits.

St. George 7, St. Francis 0

Gary Leichtling pitched a rare shutout at Farley Park. Kevin Harris and Rob Zerafa both went 3-3 for the winners. Mike Arabitg went 2-2 for St. Francis. St. Francis pitching duties were shared by two St. Bart’s Hall of Famers, Harold Hopler & Frank Chupko.

St. Vincent 12, St. Justin 5

Keith Karyczak was the star at Jerseyland Park with three hits, including a triple and a HR. Aner Sousa also had three hits and 4 RBI for St. Vincent. Dave Grandmaison had three hits for St. Justin, and Don (Donnie Baseball) Rinaldo had 2 RBI for St. Justin.

St. Ignatius 4, St. Sebastian 3 Bob McGuiness out-pitched Erik Hastrup at Forest Road Park. Hastrup had 3 hits to lead the Sebatian attack. BillAumenta had 3 hits for the winners, including a double. Bruce Logan hit a HR to help lead Ignatius to victory.
