SCOTCH PLAINS — The Scotch Plains Public Library has announced two events taking place at the library on Monday, July 1.
The Bring Your Own Book Club (B.Y.O.B.) will meet in the downstairs gallery space of the library at 10 a.m. There is no assigned book; rather, participants bring along their latest read and share their thoughts with others. Any genre is welcome: old or new fiction, mysteries, romance or whatever one currently is reading. Registration is required.
From 6 to 8 p.m. that day, the library will host a Community Jigsaw Puzzle Swap. Members of the community are invited to bring in their gently-used jigsaw puzzles (complete with all their pieces) and swap for some different puzzles.
Puzzles currently can be dropped off at the Adult Services Desk of the library. Participants are asked to make sure that all the pieces for the puzzle are in the box and to tape the box closed on at least two sides to prevent puzzle pieces from falling out. Those who do not have puzzles to swap may still attend the Community Jigsaw Puzzle Swap.
The library’s Afternoon and Evening Book Clubs are on summer break for July and August and will resume in September.
