Linwood Boys 24, AJ Jersey 17 Angry Joe’s 25, Yogi’s Boys 17 Angry Joe’s (32 hits) – Scott Graham (hit for cycle), Charlie Wischusen (4-4, HR), Dave Rothenberg (3 hits, 2 triples); Ed Quinn, Billy Early and Gerard McDermott (3 hits each).

Kenilworth VFW 9, NJ Govt Services 2

VFW – Danny Mendoza (1B, 2 doubles); Bob D’Meo, Greg Thomas (2 RBIs), Dave Lloyd (each had 2 hits); Greg Hartnett (2 RBI), Winning pitcher was Chris Kaminski. VFW first baseman Dave Ball (several sparkling plays).

Linwood II 15, Deegan 4

Pitcher Bill Daniel (3-for-3) and Joe Caliguari (4-for-4) led Linwood II. Deegan Roofers – John Rachko and Pat Nigro had two hits each.

Awnings Galore 15, DeBellis 8 Awnings threw up 6 in the 3rd to jump ahead 9-3. DeBellis chipped away but theAwnings defense behind pitcher Paul Newton held on. Shadesters – Rick Demsey and Mike Carnevale went 3-3; Billy Hillyer, Paul Newton (2B), Bruce Crawford, Jerry Isolda, Richie Polonitza (2B) and Tom Beninato had 2 hits each. RIP former teammate Angie Melillo.

Kenilworth VFW 20, Yogi’s Boys 14 VFW – Jose Santana (4-4, 3 RBI, 3 runs), Greg Hartnett (3-4, 4 RBI), Bob D’Meo (3-3, 4 RBI),Chris Kaminski (3-3, 2 RBI, 3 runs) and Dan Mendoza (3-3, 2 RBI, 3 runs). Don Montefusco, Dave Ball, Whitey McCormack, Rocky Pencinger and Dave Lloyd each had 2 hits apiece.

Linwood II 19, Awnings Galore 12 Linwood – with 3 hits apiece were Gene Antonucci, Enrico Gnassi, Bill Buteau and Ralph Genova, who played in his first game this year after undergoing knee replacement surgery. Awnings – Tom Beninato (2 hits).

Swan Hotel 26, NJ Governt’l 15 For the Swan – Brian Latham (4-4), Nick Menonna (4-4, HR), Don Fischer (4-4), John Garced (4-4), John Mazur (3-3) and Tom Baldowski (3-3). For the Gmen – Rich Conkli and Geno Raisley (HR) had 4 hits each. Joe Hrubash, Bill Moore, and Gary Epstein had 3 hits each. Steve Falco and Carl Herman added 2 hits apiece.
