The Westfield High School boys lacrosse team jumped all over Eastern to claim the Group 4 Championship at Hunterdon Central High School in Flemington on June 8. The 15-5 Blue Devils stuffed in seven first-quarter goals en route to a 17-10 triumph.
Garrett Ferguson scored seven goals and added two assists and a pair of ground balls. Cody Lam whipped in six goals and added a ground ball. Colin Coyle dished out six assists and scooped a ground ball. Christian Gilford netted three goals, an assist and a ground ball. Koby Waldman had a goal and an assist. Billy Gerne had an assist and three ground balls. Mike Marshall scooped three ground balls. Josh Caramagno and Steve Csorba each had two ground balls. Ben Seward and Corey Gilford each scooped one ground ball.
Jake Feeney scored four goals for 17-4 Eastern. Bruce Magladry scored twice. Chase Huggard had a goal, assist and five ground balls as did Kevin Duffy. Connor Henry and Chris Koutzis each scored once.
