CRANFORD — All are welcome to attend the raising of the Pride flag today, Thursday, June 6, at 4 p.m., on the Cranford Municipal Building grounds, located at 8 Springfield Avenue. This event will take place to celebrate Pride Month.
Following the flag raising, Downtown Cranford will kick off its Summer Sounds series with live music by Forget the Whale. The performance starts at 6 p.m. at the clock.
That same evening, from 7 to 8 p.m., all are welcome to participate with the Green Thumb Garden Club in the annual Pride planting. The Club received a Union County H.E.A.R.T. grant for this project.
In addition to these events, the Little Library at the Gazebo will contain books donated by the Cranford Unity Project and the Cranford Public Library that celebrate voices from the LGBTQ+ community.
The Cranford Public Library, located at 224 Walnut Avenue, will host Chalk the Walk on Saturday, June 15, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Downtown Cranford business Think D’sign Print is featuring a limited-edition T-shirt designed by a Cranford resident, with proceeds supporting The Trevor Project.
