Peter J. Falk

Peter J. Falk, Devoted Husband, Father and Grandfather

Peter Jon Falk passed away on Sunday, May 19, at home in Berkeley Heights.

He was born in Montreal, Canada in 1940 and moved to Massachusetts in 1950, to Westfield in 1956, and to Berkeley Heights in 2022.

His love was cars. He worked as a mechanic for years, then for Chubb Insurance Company.

Peter owned race cars and over the years raced at Pine Brook and Atlantic City, among other places. He was a member of the Old Time Racers Club.

He is survived by his wife of almost 63 years, Dianne; three sons, Peter Jonathan (Carole), Randy (Nicole) and David (Tiffany), and 10 grandchildren, Christopher (Hannah), Zachary, Penelope, Ripley, Dylan, Cooper, Ashlee, Emma, Kathryn and Madison.

Viewing is today, Thursday, May 30, from 4 to 7 p.m., at Higgins and Bonner Echo Lake Funeral Home, 582 Springfield Avenue, Westfield, N.J.

The funeral service will take place at the funeral home beginning at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 31. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Westfield.

In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Hubert’s Animal Welfare Center, Madison, or to any volunteer rescue squad would be appreciated.
