The 13-10 Cranford Cougars baseball team shut out 15-10-1 Belleville, 4-0, in the first round of the North Jersey, Section 2, Group 3 playoffs in Cranford on May 23. Pat Bendert doubled, singled and scored twice. Dennis McCaffery went 2-for-3 with an RBI and a stolen base. Dylan Falk scored twice, stole three bases and had an RBI. Brayden Fry singled and swiped a base. Ryan Carracino singled. Tyler Veltre singled. Mike Tripodi had two RBI.
