Erin Doherty crushed a grand slam home run for theWestfield High School softball Blue Devils who clocked the Elizabeth Minutemen, 10-3, on May 6. Two days later, the Ridge Red Devils scored once in the seventh inning and three times in the eighth to squeeze past the Blue Devils, 4-2.

Alex Laguna went 4-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored against the 8-9 Minutemen. Kayla Reyes went 2for-3 with a double, and three runs scored. Quinlan Doherty doubled and scored twice. Annie Reilly had a pair of singles and an RBI. Gia Puglisi had an RBI single and scored once. Naomi Kamins was hit by a pitch and scored. Winning pitcher Bella Scipioni recorded four strikeouts. Makayla Lecky doubled, singled and scored twice for Elizabeth. Faith Medina doubled, walked and had three RBI. Alyssa Davis doubled and singled. Gabi Rojas singled, walked and scored once.
