The Westfield High School softball team scored five runs in the top of the seventh inning and held tight to stun the Elizabeth Minutemen, 8-3, in Elizabeth. Annie Reilly was big with a double, single and four RBI for 4-3 Westfield.

Alex Laguna was 2-for-4 with two runs scored and an RBI. Erin Doherty went 2-for-3 with a walk and a run scored. Quinlan Doherty doubled and scored once. Cat Heflin doubled, walked and had an RBI. Kayla Reyes walked, was hit, scored twice and had an RBI. Natalie Ardente singled. Naomi Kamins singled, walked and scored once. Gianna Puglisi walked and scored. Bella Scipioni was the winning pitcher.

Gabby Duran went 3-for-4 with a home run and two RBI for Elizabeth. Losing pitcher Makayla Lecky singled twice. Gabi Rojas singled twice and scored once.Ashanti Dewalt doubled and scored once. Brianna Borga had an RBI.
