The Cranford High School softball team witnessed a 10-4 setback to the 6-0 Jonathan Dayton Bulldogs on April 10. Winning pitcher Lila Carroll recorded 10 strikeouts, while helping her cause with two hits, two runs scored and an RBI.

Sophia DeMarco hammered a pair of home runs for the Cougars and walked twice. Ciara Conley doubled, singled twice and had an RBI. Ava Orr homered. Kasey Coon doubled and Hannah Semple scored once.

Kate Buckley homered, singled, walked and scored twice. Natalie Mingnone went 3-for-3 with a home run, two walks and three RBI. Ashley Weber whacked a home run, doubled, singled and had three RBI. Bella Pintado and Olivia Douglas both doubled and scored once. Charley Badalamenti singled and scored once.
