Singers wanted. Singers from the community and nearby towns (including singers of high school age) are warmly invited to join the choir of St. Paul’s Church in a Steeple Concerts presentation of Beethoven’s masterpiece, “Missa Solemnis.” Rehearsals are on Monday evenings from 7:00 to 9:00pm beginning March 18 and run every week until the concert on Sunday, May 19 at 5 p.m. All rehearsals take place at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, located at 414 East Broad Street, Westfield. Breakfast With The Bands, Saturday, March 2, 8 a.m. to noon. The Rotary Club of Westfield’s biggest scholarshipfund-raisingeventreturns to the Westfield High School Cafeteria with a morning full of Westfield’s talented music students. $10 admission includes breakfast and entertainment. Tickets can be purchased in advance at The Westfield Leader office or at the door.

Notable Words/Palabras Notables: An afternoon of Readings and Conversation, Sunday, March 17. People & Stories/Gente y Cuentos’ well-loved annual Benefit Notable Words has taken a turn back to its roots with Notable Words/Palabras Notables: An Afternoon of Readings and Conversation with Melissa Coss Aquino Denice Frohman, and Luis Mora-Ballesteros, moderated by Nora Muniz. This primary yearly fundraiser presented by People & Stories/Gente y Cuentos will be held this year on Sunday, March 17, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. in the Mackay Lounge on the campus of the Princeton Theological Seminary, 64 Mercer Street, Princeton, NJ. Ticket prices start at $125.00 per person, including the talk and dessert reception with the authors.
