Christian Branna

Christian Branna Beloved Father

Christian “Chris” Branna, age 60, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 1, 2024. He was a loving father, devoted brother, and a cherished son. His welcoming nature and free spirit touched the lives of all who knew him.

Born on July 22, 1963, Chris grew up in a close-knit family. He was the beloved son of Penelope Branna and the late August “Pop Pop” Branna. The recent loss of his father deeply affected him, but he always carried his father’s wisdom and guidance in his heart.

Chris was a loving brother to his sister, Stephanie Branna. They shared a special bond that brought them comfort and strength throughout their lives. Their memories together will forever be cherished.

The Branna Agency, a local insurance agency, was Chris’ pride and joy. Owned and operated by the family, right on Route 22, in Mountainside. He was passionate about his work and the people he helped in their time of need.

Chris was a dedicated father to his three children: Victoria (Derek), Brian (Gina) and Christian. He raised them in a loving home, in Bridgewater, N.J. He loved them unconditionally and took great pride in their accomplishments. He was their rock, always providing support, wisdom and encouragement. He used to always say, “My kids are home, I ordered pizza, I’m happy.”

Chris had a passion for life and embraced every moment with enthusiasm. He had a knack for making people laugh and could brighten any room with his infectious smile. His wild and free-spirited nature touched the hearts of everyone around him.

In his spare time, Chris enjoyed spending time with his kids, on his boat, at the Raritan River Boat Club or at his family’s vacation home. He found solace on the water and loved being surrounded by its beauty. Whether tending to his lawn, or spending time with his close friends, he found peace and joy in the simplicity of enjoying life.

Chris will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched. His legacy of love, kindness, and compassion will continue to inspire us all.

May Chris’ soul rest in eternal peace, and may his memory forever be a blessing to us all.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Christian’s name to the 7 Lakes Alliance.
