Cougars’ Comeback in Third Jolts Blue Devil Cagers, 52-49
Five seconds in the fourth quarter after a strong third-quarter comeback determined the outcome of a very spirited girls basketball game between the visiting Westfield Blue Devils and the Cranford Cougars on January 11. Trailing 27-23 at the half, the Cougar girls rolled with a 15-9 third quarter then snapped a 49-49 tie with a 3-pointer in the final five seconds to salvage a 52-49 victory.
