Summit Swim Girls Shock Westfield

Success from the starting event and its continuance by the Summit High School girls swim team forced the strategy of the Blue Devils in the final event, leading to an unfortunate end at Wallace Pool in Westfield on January 5. Entering the 400-freestyle relay, the Blue Devils trailing, 81-75, switched their lane assignments in order to pull out a win or a tie but the maneuver was not acceptable, resulting in a disqualification (DQ) and a 93-75 defeat.
