Westfield Native, Devoted Father
Michael R. Osborne, 62, of Neptune, N.J., and Equinunk, Pa., passed away unexpectedly on Christmas Eve 2023. Born on October 5, 1961 in Summit, N.J., to Alan and Bernice Osborne, he was raised in Westfield, New Jersey, and was a graduate of Westfield public schools, The Wardlaw+ Hartridge School and Blair Academy.
Mike was a craftsman and artist at work and at heart. He was an out-of-the-box thinker who solved complex problems with ease.
Mike loved puttering at his farm in Equinunk, fishing, golfing and spending time with his son. He was kind and generous, which he often hid behind the well-crafted appearance of a curmudgeon. He leaves behind his beloved son, Tom; sisters, Jeanne Osborne and Anne Osborne; brothers, Jim Osborne (Lisa), Bob Osborne (Lisa), John Osborne and Tom Osborne, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He will be missed. A private memorial service is planned for January 2024.
