Y Plans Open-House Events For Camp and Child Care

Y Plans Open-House Events For Camp and Child Care

WESTFIELD — The Westfield Area YMCA will hold Summer Day Camp and Child Care Open House events on Saturday, January 6, from 10 a.m. to noon.

The Summer Day Camp Open House will be held at the Main Y Facility, located at 220 Clark Street, Westfield. All Westfield Area YMCA camps are ACAaccredited and provide safe, engaging and meaningful camp experiences with enriching activities, fitness and social/emotional learning.

Traditional, sports, S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) and leadershipd evelopment camps are available for children and youth ages 3 to 15.

The Y offers full-day and halfday camps by the week or all summer long. Priority Early Bird Camp registration for family members will begin on Thursday, January 4. Open Early Bird Camp registration for basic and non-members will begin on Monday, January 8. Early Bird registration ends on Sunday, January 21. The 2024 camp brochure is available at www.westfieldynj.org/camp.

Child Care Open House events will take place at the Main Y Facility as well as the Bauer Branch, located at 422 East Broad Street, Westfield, and Early Learning Center, 170 Elm Street, Westfield. Attendees will have an opportunity to see the classrooms and meet the staff. Registration for the 2024-2025 school year for full- day child care, half-day and full- day preschool, full-day Kindergarten and Kindergarten Wraparound will be available. For information on all Westfield Area YMCA programs and services, interested persons are invited to v i s i t www.westfieldynj.org or call the Welcome Center at (908) 301YMCA (9622).

The Y is committed to youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Financial assistance is available for YMCA programs and memberships for those who qualify.
