Washington U. in St. Louis Names 10 to Dean’s List

ST. LOUIS, Mo. — Ten local residents recently were named to the Dean’s List for the Spring 2023 semester at Washington University in St. Louis. The honorees include the following.

Julianne Aronson, Jakob Ayala, Isabel Boufarah, Jeremy Kronheimer, Evan Tompkins and Julia Tompkins, all of Westfield and all enrolled in the McKelvey School of Engineering. To qualify for the Dean’s List in the McKelvey School of Engineering, students must earn a semester grade point average of 3.6 or above and be enrolled in at least 12 graded units.

Blake Baretz of Westfield and Natalie Green of Fanwood, who are both enrolled in the College of Arts & Sciences. To qualify for the Dean’s List in the College of Arts & Sciences, students must earn a semester grade point average of 3.6 or above and be enrolled in at least 14 graded units.

Maeve Collins of Westfield, who is enrolled in the Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts. To qualify for the Dean’s List in the Sam Fox School, students must earn a semester grade point average of 3.5 or above and be enrolled in at least 14 graded units.

Three Are Awarded Degrees From RWU

BRISTOL, R.I. — Three local residents received their degrees from Roger Williams University in May as part of the Class of 2023.

Kevin Anderson of Cranford graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice.

Thomas Cullerton of Westfield graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Finance.

Parker Schwartz of Cranford graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English/Education: Secondary.

Washington University draws students to St. Louis from more than 100 countries and all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico and the Northern Mariana Islands. The total student body is more than 15,000 undergraduate, graduate and professional students.

The approximately 4,300 faculty teach in eight schools: Arts & Sciences, Brown School, Olin Business School, Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts, McKelvey School of Engineering, School of Law, School of Medicine and University College.

The university offers more than 90 programs and almost 1,500 courses leading to bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees in a broad spectrum of traditional and interdisciplinary fields, with additional opportunities for minor concentrations and individualized programs.
