Judy Edling

Judy L. Edling, Beloved Wife, Mother and Grandmother

Judy Edling of Bolton, Mass., passed away on Saturday, November 25, surrounded by her loving family.

She was the faithful daughter of the late Willis and Patricia ( McComas) Lundahl and was born in Warren, Pa., on May 21, 1948. Judy received a Bachelor of Science degree in Home Economics from Pennsylvania State University in 1970. Following her graduation and 1971 marriage, she taught at the high school in Clark, N.J., before starting her family in 1973.

Judy was an exceptionally loving mother and grandmother, devoted wife, and loyal and generous friend. She was a wonderful homemaker who welcomed everyone into her home graciously. Judy was a phenomenal gourmet cook and host who made every family gathering and holiday special. Over the years, she and her family lived in Westfield, N.J., Ridgefield, Conn., and Sudbury, Mass., due to several corporate moves. Judy easily made friends everywhere she went and became involved in each community through joining many clubs and organizations. Up until the time of her death she was a part-time teacher at Peter Noyes Elementary School in Sudbury, Mass. Judy exuded a warmth and empathy for everyone she met and had an exceptionally special way of making everyone feel comfortable, accepted, and loved. She will be deeply missed. She is survived by her husband of over 52 years, Fred Edling, along with their four children. They are Christopher of Burlington, Vt., Jeffrey (Meghan) of West Chester, Pa., Peter (Laura) of Burlington, Vt., and Katie Tomasetti (Ryan) of Maynard, Mass. She was predeceased by a son, Andrew, who died in infancy in 1981. She also leaves behind five adoring Edling grandchildren, Ella, Henry, Crosby, Tula and Addie. Also surviving are her brother, David Lundahl, and sisters, Chris Loranger and Anne Higgins, and their families.

A memorial service is being planned by the family for sometime in 2024, in Sudbury, Mass.
