We see Garwood as a thriving, safe and beautiful place to live, raise a family and become involved within the community. Shannon Anwander, Michele Capobianco, and Rachel Herz, are deeply committed to making Garwood a thriving, safe, and beautiful place. Our vision hinges on honest and open communication as the bedrock for addressing challenges and seizing opportunities. We aim to collaborate with all residents, regardless of political affiliation, to improve our community.

Our commitment includes providing accurate information and open communication channels, ensuring our actions are data-driven, and remaining accessible for your questions, concerns, and ideas. We also prioritize bridging gaps, and fostering positive relationships with our Board of Education by holding regular meetings between elected officials, educators, and parents to help address concerns and find practical solutions.

Creating a safe community is paramount to us, and we support law enforcement to ensure a secure and respected environment. Encouraging civic engagement and unity is another focus, valuing every resident’s voice and concerns.

As elected officials, we emphasize accountability, oversight, and fiscal responsibility. We believe in common- sense financial prudence, organized budgeting, exploring shared services, and leveraging grants for a fiscally strong Garwood. Reducing non-essential administrative costs, better managing debt, and prioritizing capital items are among our priorities.

We urge you to consider the need for change in Garwood. A vote for Anwander, Capobianco, and Herz is a step toward a sustainable future with responsible leadership. We aspire to represent you effectively, fostering a brighter future through honest and open communication that respects every voice in our community.
