WNC Trunk or Treat Event, Car Show On Tap Saturday

WESTFIELD — The Westfield Neighborhood Council (WNC) will present its Ninth Annual Trunk or Treat-Car Show fundraiser and After Party this Saturday, October 28. The family-friendly festivities will be staged at the WNC, located at 127 Cacciola Place, Westfield, which is a specialneeds- friendly facility.

WNC and GWIZ Auto Entertainment, with the support of the Corvettes on Patrol and Moto Pyschos clubs, are partnering to put on this event. Admission is free and all are welcome.

Trunk or Treat will be held from noon to 3 p.m. Kids of all ages can revel in the Halloween spirit as they visit elaborately-decorated car trunks filled with treats and goodies. Costumes are encouraged for all participants. The After Party will take place from 3 to 5 p.m. Music, games and food will be included in the celebration.

All vehicle makes and models are welcome to be displayed at the car show. Trophies will be awarded for decorated and undecorated vehicles and motorcycles. Interested vehicle owners are encouraged to call (908) 482-8132 or email GwizAuto.NJ@gmail.com for suggested donation amounts, which will directly contribute to helping WNC with its fund-raising efforts.

The event serves as a critical fundraiser for WNC. Community support helps the organization with afterschool tutoring, a hunger-relief initiative and senior citizen programs.

Candy donations are needed to fill the trunks of the vehicles. Interested persons are asked to contact Tamiko McDaniel at (908) 4560203 or Mary Withers at (908) 6169172 or MrsMary205@gmail.com.
