Coming off a stunning 1-0 victory over the top-seeded Westfield Blue Devils in the semifinal round of the Union County Tournament (UCT), the Oak Knoll Royals set out to prove that they are a viable girls soccer team in Union County when they defeated the 6-5-1 Scotch Plains-Fanwood Raiders, who were the No. 2 seed in the UCT, 2-1, in a regular-season game at Scotch Plains on October 19.
