WESTFIELD — Mostly Music returns for another exciting season of live chamber music on five Sunday afternoons at 3:30 p.m. at Temple Emanu-El in Westfield. Mostly Music’s 44th concert season begins on October 22 with stars of the chamber music world: clarinetist David Shifrin, violinist Soovin Kim and pianist Gloria Chien. They will perform Brahms’s autumnal Clarinet Sonata in Eb, Stravinsky’s popular Suite from The Soldier’s Tale for trio, and Ravel’s Violin Sonata. The final piece on the program is Bartók’s colorful and folkinspired Contrasts for clarinet, violin and piano, commissioned by clarinetist Benny Goodman in 1938.
