After defeating Union Catholic in the opening game of the season, the Westfield High School girls volleyball team bowed to the 7-3 Vikings, 25-21, 25-20. on September 26.

Blue DevilAbby Pevzner recorded 10 kills and a dig. Giuliana Gallo scooped 13 digs and added three assists and three service points. Caitlin Cabrales had four kills, nine digs and two service points. Olivia Calandra notched three kills, two blocks, four digs, 10 assists and a service point. Chloe Wiedman recorded five digs, an assist and five service points. Ava Gaspard had four kills and a block. Genevieve Gauthier recorded eight digs, six assists and six service points with an ace. Kardina Bonn had two blocks, a kill and three digs. Keira Deignan had two blocks and Grace Kim had two service points and a dig.

Viking Rachel Williams recorded 10 kills, three service points with an ace, two blocks and four digs. Zia Oriol had 10 service points with three aces and two blocks. Haiden Fuhrmann notched five kills. Ryan Gorski had eight service points with two aces, and 11 digs. Bella Capati recorded eight assists, six digs and a service point. Josie Allen had five service points and seven digs. Alex Landazabal had nine assists, five digs, a kill and four service points. Alyssa Kenol had a pair of kills and two blocks. Gabby Kelly had a kill and a dig.

On September 28, the Blue Devil girls rebounded to overcome Elizabeth in three games, 25-15, 22-25, 25-20.
