CRANFORD — The Wednesday Morning Club invites members of the community to attend its programs. All meetings are held the first Wednesday of each month, October through May, at 10 a.m., in the Audio Visual Room of the Cranford Community Center. The Community Center is located at 220 Walnut Avenue, Cranford. Donations for the food pantry are accepted at each meeting.
The first General Meeting of the club year will take place on October 4 at 10 a.m. Program speaker Ellen Steinberg of the Union County Senior Citizens Council will discuss the Senior Freeze process.
The club luncheon will be held on Wednesday, October 18, at noon, at IL Gabbiano, located at 10 South Avenue West, Cranford. Attendees are asked to bring a favorite poem or joke. To RSVP, contact Jane Reilly at jreillyu@aol.com.
In existence since 1884, the Wednesday Morning Club was instrumental in starting the Cranford Public Library. The club hosts programs the first Wednesday of every month, supports Cranford High School scholarships and offers camaraderie at its luncheons.
