Soccer Cougars Edge Pope John Girls, 7-6

A wild high-scoring game resulted in a 7-6 victory for the Cranford High School girls soccer team over Pope John XXIII on September 9. Kristina Lowe led the Cougars with four goals and an assist, followed by Shea Matheson with two goals and four assists. Selena Rivers scored once and goalkeeper Vanessa Kelly made 11 saves.

Jaidyn Falcone netted two goals and two assists for Pope John and Jill Gotimer scored twice. Mackenzie Kaiser had a goal and an assist. Kiera Donegan scored once. Sloane Dengler and Sam Piotrowsky each had an assist. Abi Talmadge recorded eight saves.
