Sweet Sounds Downtown

Westfield every Tuesday through August 29, 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Central Avenue, Quimby & Elm Streets, Monument Park. Wednesday rain dates.

Special Needs Night

Every Thursday evening in July and August from 6:30 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. at Wheeler Spray Park located at 234 West Stimpson Avenue in Linden. The event is free but preregistration is required online for each child, who must be accompanied by an adult, through the Union County events registration page at ucnj.org/opdsn-reg.

March to Yorktown

Saturday, August 27 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. In cooperation with the Washington- Rochambeau Revolutionary Route-NJ Association the 4th Annual March to Yorktown Day – A Commemoration and Encampment Festival will be held in Mindowaskin Park. This is a Free, Family, Fun & Accessible event for all.

Fanwood Performance Series

Saturday, September 9, 7 p.m. at the Carriage House, featuring Shawna Caspi and Meaghan Farrell. More information can be found at fanwoodperformanceseries.com.

Union County Celtic Festival Saturday, September 9, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Oak Ridge Park in Clark. The festival will include live music, food and craft vendors, cultural activities, a piping and drumming contest, dancing, and a beer garden. We hope to include as many local Celtic-American organizations, small businesses, and members of the public as possible. Sunday, September 10, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Central Avenue in Westfield will be transformed into a marketplace of vendors, crafters and retail establishments. Come enjoy the culinary delights of our food vendors. The day will be filled with entertainment and a Kids Zone with rides and inflatables.

NJGreekFest

Friday, September 29 and Saturday, September 30, Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church 250 Gallows Hill Road, Westfield. Friday, 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. and Saturday, 12 p.m. to 11 p.m. Holy Trinity will be selling some of your favorite homemade foods and desserts like pastichio, gyro, souvlaki, baklava, and koulourakia.
