In response to the recent articles on the escalated crime rate in town over the last year or so, I am writing this because I think that the situation has gotten out of hand. And seems to be escalating with no relief in sight. If I had to guess, it’s a direct result of a change in the way the police are directed to handle patrolling and policing our neighborhoods. Because this activity didn’t happen 3 years ago. Not on this level. Personally, I have lived here on and off since I moved here in 1976 and I can say this is absurd.
