Government Reform Thought: It's time to eliminate the compensation that government officials, police chiefs and school superintendents get for accumulated vacation and sick days upon retirement. They have a right to vacation and they should take it but not to be paid for it. Sick days are a safety net, not a form of  compensation. The practice is abusive to the taxpayer.  - See Year-to-date Reform Thoughts.
