Heinbokel: Homes’ Lack of Size, Amenities Lead to Redevelopment

WE WILL NEVER FORGETWestfield residents and officials and emergency services representatives attend Tuesday night’s six-year anniversary ceremony of the terrorist’s attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon on September 11, 2001, that killed 14 area residents. The event was held at Westfield’s 9/11 Memorial on North Avenue and East Broad Street.

New Jersey Political Advertising Regulations

CHRISTMAS IN SEPTEMBER...A Christmas season commercial shoots Monday at Cosenza family of Woodbrook Circle in Westfield. The home was lit with lights and a large arrow of light mounted over the garage. A slight dusting of snow dotted the roof. Stephanie Haberman, production manager for, the company shooting the spot, said a BMW car would be filmed at another location. The crew also used a chimney at the Kushner family’s home across the street for the spot.

PANCAKES, ANYONE?…A volunteer serves up pancakes at Sunday’s fundraiser for the Fanwood Fire Department, held at The Chelsea at Fanwood on South Avenue.

Government Reform Thoughts

The Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission has created the $90,000 position of assistant director of community affairs and appointed Mercer County Democratic Chairman Richard McClelland to the post. Government job openings, both newly created and existing positions, must be advertised to the general public both on the state website and in high-circulated state newspapers.
