Government Reform Thoughts

Public hearings should take place on the first reading of an ordinance, not the second. Currently, governing bodies vote on the second reading right after a public hearing. Holding hearings earlier would provide sufficient time for the public's comments to be considered in the final document.  - See year-to-date reform thoughts.
